Scam on ECM purchase
I wish to notify all members that I have been scammed by World ECM Mr. Thomas Thompson on a ECM I ordered. After two months of being unable to resolve the problem, (I sent money by PayPal, received a non-operating computer and shipped it back. Refund refused. Replacement refused.) it was suggested I google 'World ECM Mr. Thomas Thompson scam' I found that I am one of many victims. Please share with members and protect them.

Re: Scam on ECM purchase
Thanks for the response. Mr. Thompson blames others for the faulty part and then terms my vehicle a clunker and cites my residential address as an arguement ploy for refusing to refund my money. Did you also read the ripoffs reports on him?
I posted to protect members and I hope no one becomes a vistim. Best regards, Gasitup |

Re: Scam on ECM purchase
Moving to review board as this has nothing to do with 67-72 trucks.

Im not taking sides but i do find it funny that you are signing up on multipul websites to post bad reviews

Re: Scam on ECM purchase
Hi truckdude,
Your observation is correct. This is a business owner that has used the terms idiot, moron, stupid and so on to this customer. The scam I experienced was exactly what the other report victims stated. Paid for a worthless part and refused to resolve in a professional manner. Mr. Thompson has manipulated the facts of our transaction. Were you a victim of the extent of his rudeness, I am confident you would take similar action. To be honest, I have been scammed in the past and never knew I could do anything about it. Thanks to the internet, I can share with others the daily frustration for over 2months with Thomas Thompson. I paid $100 for a used computer, paid to have it installed at a shop, and then the drama began. Regards, Gasitup |

Re: Scam on ECM purchase
My comment will probably get deleted which is ok, but seriously that guy has THE WORST FREAKING WEBSITE I HAVE EVER SEEN.....and you chose to buy parts from it? I'm sorry you got ripped off but...but..
like like like, there are a million great resources here, and...but...wtf...I ....its like a 1997 Geocities page?!> ....and did you really join this forum just to post this? Cuz, thats exactly what you profile and history would suggest. I got more questions than answers on this.

Re: Scam on ECM purchase
Now take all that frustration from getting ripped off and use that energy to build or own a 67-72 chevy or Gmc truck. That's my solution

Re: Scam on ECM purchase
Good advice mgkgmc,
Get over it and move on. I want to thank the members for their objective comments. Reminds me of a brotherhood of Chevy pick up owners 40 years ago. I wax nostalgic; Into the military in 1967, the new Chevy trucks were my dream. Returning from overseas, many of us took our nestegg and bought a Chevy pickup. The GM plant in Fremont, CA had a cool program. You could buy your truck, pick color, options, etc. and watch it being built on the assembly line. Watching your new truck being born was special and a nice vintage GM pick up still can water my eyes. |
