Late Model Exhaust Manifolds

Has anyone here used this style exhaust manifolds on our trucks? If so, any interference problems (column-auto)? I am thinking about replacing my ram-horns with this type. It sure looks like spark plug access is much easier with these???

No can do.

They won't even come close to bolting on because of interference with the engine mount stands.

Draw an imaginary line front to back through the bolt holes. Then look how far they hang below that line. Now, look at your truck and you'll see what I mean.

Don't replace your ram horns. They flow really good compared to the log style!

Re: Late Model Exhaust Manifolds

They will fit IF, you install the big block stands which moves the engine REARWARD about 1-1/2''. If not ramhorns or headers

I just swapped from a small block to a big block, replaced the small block stands with big block stands and the engine sits in the exact same position as the small block. Just a for what it's worth post.

Also, if you are using an older block(driver's side dipstick),you may run into problems using your stock dipstick. I tried a set of 85ish on an old block and they completely covered it when i pulled the tube insert.
