Chrome Beaver emblem? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey yall. I just my factory build manual for my 1960-1966 Suburban. While looking through the book I ran across a factory hood emblem that was used on the cab forward design truck that looks like a chrome braver holding up a chewed log. Am I crazy? What is this thing?

Ive been looking for a pic of a real one for the emblem thread for a long time. Have never seen a real picture of one....just the pic and part # in the assembly book.

I looked for a long time for the emblem thread and couldn't find anything other than the pic and part # in the assembly book.

Those emblems were used on trucks with the RPO 246 "Heavy Duty Chassis Equipment". I remember seeing some years ago on a junked out 80-series farm truck. It was a '62 if I remember correctly. I salvaged a factory tach instrument cluster from that truck but never thought to grab those emblems.

Unfortunately, I think that truck went for scrap not long after I got the tach cluster from it.
