292 lower radiator hose part number?
Anyone have a part number for lower radiator hose for a 292 in a four wheel drive that actually fits? I bought one from rockauto and one from classic parts but neither of those fit. I did get the flex hose from O'reillys but don't care for it.
thanks in advance.

Re: 292 lower radiator hose part number?
Gotta work tomorrow or I'd go out and check it for you. I use a flex hose on the upper Radiator/Thermostat part, but my lower hose is 292-specific. I don't know if the K- trucks used a different hose from the C- trucks. Maybe tomorrow night, I can check.

Well I checked out my lower radiator hose and could find no markings on it. Sorry.

Do you have a different radiator than originally stock?

Re: 292 lower radiator hose part number?
In what way doesn't it fit?
Before I put the AC on my 292, I snagged the compressor brackets off a 70's, Nova with a 250. None of that overweight, bulky junk was of any use, but it did show me that a car with 250 and AC used a longer hose with some extra kinks to go behind one of the AC braces. I just looked at O'Reilly's web page and they show only one lower hose for '74 Nova with 250 and no notation for AC or not. They have part # 20390 and say it is an inch longer than the the one for 250/292, C/K trucks. It may be worth looking at.
