GMCpauls rear gas tank conversion

So I bought the steel rear gas tank conversion and I have no clue what adapters I need to use to connect to the gas tank. They aren't threaded so I can't simply buy adapters to connect to it. Help guys!

I'm not sure what you may think you need adapters for other than the vent lines which you use hoses to connect to. The tank has 3 vents and 1 fuel filler. You attach a 1 3/8" hose to the fuel filler, a 1/2" hose to the fuel neck filler vent, and the other 2 connect hoses to them and get 1 way check valves and attach them to the end of these 2 vent lines, I then use the metal fold over type straps to attach the check valves to a bed cross sill. Connect fuel line to fuel sender, and fuel sender wire to tank sender.
I've attached a pic I borrowed from another thread where someone else did it basically the same way but they plugged 1 of the 2 vents I place a check valve on myself. I like 2 check valves as using just one on a really hot day the fuel tank may burp when filling getting gas on you or down the side of your truck due to rapid pressure build up.

So can I use hose clamps where the fuel line connects to fuel sending unit? I also need to run a return line. Can I use one of the vents for that? Also can I use an external fuel pump?

With 65psi shooting through the line are you sure it won't blow the line off?

I've used inline electric fuel pumps in the past without a problem. Not sure what the pressure rating was though on them.

Bend the fuel line in preparation for installation. Make sure that the stick of fuel line is the same size as that in use on the vehicle. A professional would not use more than 3 inches of fuel line hose for connection purposes. The rest of the line must be metal to prevent the possibility of leaks. Bend the fuel line with the bending tool so the fuel line will be capable of coupling to the fuel line from the fuel tank with a 1-inch gap. The gap is spanned with a fuel line hose. The other end must route properly to couple to the fuel pump with the same gap. The fuel line running forward must be cut to couple to the fuel pump in the same manner.

I understand what your saying. I need to take rubber hose clamp it to the fuel sending line and snip it off before 3inches. Then run a steel line

Should be OK if you use a good hose clamp. I've put a high pressure in tank pump in the stock tank myself - but I am looking to put the tank under the bed as I'm tired of smelling gasoline in the cab. GMCPaul, do you have a link to your kits? I'm weighing my options right now.

Will this work with a fuel return line for fuel injection? Thinking about putting in fuel injection with a return line.
