What does this go to?

Can anyone tell me what this goes too? it was in with parts I got with a parts truck I got.

My first thought is a Checker cab. How wide is it between the mounts?

About 4 ft give or take one of the brackets is bent

A first blush looks like a Fleet option truck front bumper, but the bracket spacing looks to wide and bumper bolt pattern is not the same and corner radius is wrong. Maybe the PO was going to adapt it to front or back?

Well the guy I got the truck from thought it came off a 1954 chevy truck but i cant find anything to support that.
