Scangauge II and pending codes??
Hi all,
I am using a scangauge II for my RPM, MPH, Temp, Intake temp and for clearing codes. Well, when I check for codes it says "No codes found" or something to that effect, but it does have pending codes it will not clear B2AAA B2A00 P0007 B0800 When I look them up I can't find too much on them except for the P0007. Is anyone familiar with these? Should I get a real scanner and see if I can clear? Thanks! Ben |

Re: Scangauge II and pending codes??
i had a couple of those weird BXXXX series codes pop up when I first did my swap. I cleared em and they havent come back since.
i was told they are related to "body sensors" or something and not to worry about them. |

Re: Scangauge II and pending codes??
Codes that start with B are body control module codes, P are powertrain and C are chassis. I would clear them and see if they come back.

Re: Scangauge II and pending codes??
Pending errors aren't real errors, the engine needs to see the same failure a few times before calling them "Active". It usually takes 3-trips (warmup, drive, off) to cycle and clear them, or confirm them.
This is a known thing with the self-powered gauges like the Scangauge. Check the wiring for your diag port, and make sure they scangauge is securely plugged in at both ends. The obdII end can wiggle free, some people like to zip tie it in place. Its the gauge trying to "read" codes that aren't there. The AAA code and the 800 code are pretty common. Turn everything off, check the connections, try it all again. The codes should either disappear on their own, or allow you to clear them.
