That sure is different. I've never seen one.
Right, let us know more about it when you get a chance. Welcome to the site by the way. Bill

Re: C 60 Suburban
I found it on facebook in SC. Long trip back home. Who ever did it did a good job. They cut the A post and floor from a big truck and suburban. The body mounts look good and the rear fenders look like the 60s style c 60 front fenders. Im thinking 454 Nv 3500 trans a divorced t case (to get driveshaft angles down) and aluminum 22.5s. What do ya think? RB

Re: C 60 Suburban
If it were me I would look into finding a running M35 2-1/2 Ton 6x6 and using that drivetrain...loosing one of the rear axles of course.
Sweet project though, keep us updated. More pics of the graft and the vehicle as a whole?

Re: C 60 Suburban
Thanks for the idea but the axles were FREE (thank goodness) and I have most everything else. Time is not on my side I run my own Body shop. But I would like to drive it in the spring. I hope.

Re: C 60 Suburban
Only gross mistake I see in the whole thing is the NV3500. It is not up to the task. You need a heavier duty trans. The 3500 was marginal at best even behind the V6's. If you are going that heavy duty on everything else, why not a medium duty 6 to 10speed. Or there were some Deuce and a halves that had OD 5 speeds in them. There are factory bellhousings that will put that trans behind the 454.

Re: C 60 Suburban
Mr. Olds I would say you are right. But I ran a 3500 in a R3500 454 4 door pulling a older 28 foot box trailer LOADED to the gills.( around 10000 lbs) Race car trailer. Did it for years. NO problem at all. And its already here and payed for. No disrespect Ill give it a try then go from there. Thanks RB

Re: C 60 Suburban
No disrespect taken. It's just they were designed for less than 300lb'ft of torque. Did you put the 3500 in the R3500?
