Re: Patina Trucks What Should We Pay?

I paid $300.00 each for these. I got a bargain though. They were worth twice what I paid. The blue one just had rust through in the front fenders. complete std trim truck. The gold one needs floor and rocker repair. No engine or trans in it. Custom options truck. My neighbor paid $2000.00 for a running, driving, 350, SWB, BBW truck a few years ago. He won't sell it to me for $2500.00 though.

Re: Patina Trucks What Should We Pay?

I paid $200 for this '64 C-20 off of Craigslist. No engine, SM420 trans, Eaton rear end. Solid floors, typical passenger fender lower rot. Factory A/C truck, tinted windows, factory underdash ashtray (which was worth more than the purchase price of the truck). The truck was beat to death, and was literally an hour away from having the scrapper come and pick it up. The seller was desperate, was getting evicted and had no place to keep it.

Re: Patina Trucks What Should We Pay?

Traded a wood airplane prop for Krusty and 150 for delivery from Arkansas. She was a mess and a huge smoker. Pulled the tired 230 and replaced it with a fresh 292. Made her a daily driver. The day she came home and as she is now.

Re: Patina Trucks What Should We Pay?

I gave $2500 for mine from my mom. I paid her property tax for the truck, it was my Papa's. Running driving 250 with no rust. Here's a couple pics of when I bought it and recent. Sometimes wish I would have left the patina, but I do like to wash and wax though lol.

Chris

Re: Patina Trucks What Should We Pay?

Paid $2k for this one, needed a FULL brake job, carb rebuild, and cleaning/replacing everything in the fuel system. All Custom options, BBW, gauges, 250/3speed. Pretty much unmolested. Has rust in the fenders, hood, and edges of the floor/kick panels. Rockers are mostly solid (some rust on the top lip) and cab corners are good. Has a steel plate in the bed floor, needs to be taken out and replaced with wood.

As found:

After some cleaning, painting the wheels, and dropping it a few inches.

Re: Patina Trucks What Should We Pay?

I paid $300 for this and drove it home. Basic truck, straight 6, three on the tree. I've since done a bit of brake work, new fuel system, new clutch, and some other cosmetic changes. I've been driving it daily and getting a lot of thumbs up! The day I bought it and currently.

Re: Patina Trucks What Should We Pay?

This is a 1964 BBW.

Has a few runs in paint, some rust bubbles in door corners.
Needs trim, carpet, and bed floor.

Haven't heard run, told just needs battery.

What's it worth? They are asking $8,500.

Re: Patina Trucks What Should We Pay?

Not worth that much. Look very close at rust areas like floor, rockers under truck and back side of front fenders. Looks like they bonded and painted over a lot of bad spots. What motor is in it and is the trim missing. When did it last run and drive. Good title ?

Re: Patina Trucks What Should We Pay?

I paid 400$ for this 62 gmc big back window. Got home and got gas to the motor and it runs. Still a working progress but lowered with new wheels and tires and running.
