front shock angle ? and short shock ?

I'm getting ready to tear into the front end of my 66. I'm replacing everything except the control arms. I'm using 2.5 ich spindles and 2.5 inch springs. Will I need to use a shock relocation kit? Also I would like to find a shorter shock for the front. Anyone have a shorter shock part number? The shocks are the last parts I need for the whole swap. The truck should handle a lot better and stop a lot better. I'll post pics during the whole process. Now if it will stop raining I can get started on it.

I would think you would need a shock relocator, but check out this link and see if that helps any.

Re: front shock angle ? and short shock ?

Relocated shocks make all the difference! Here are the relocation brackets I fabricated and installed on my '64. Made out of 3/16" cold sheet steel with some gussets welded in, nothing crazy. Fixes to the frame with 1/2" bolts. These move the shocks up and out which nets a huge improvement in front end control.

That's awesome! Ima have to try and make those. Would I then needed to go back with a longer shock or would my two inch lower still work?
Edit# nevermind... Duh
