Exhaust question
I'm going to be redoing the exhaust on my 84 sometime in the next couple weeks and wanted to angle it out the driver side, but the gas tank is there. What I'm wondering is how much of a bad idea is to run the exhaust under the gas tank to get it out the side?

Re: Exhaust question
Personally, I would stay to the other side. You could install a tank in the rear and then the driver's side would be open.

Re: Exhaust question
I don't know about your truck, but my truck has dual tanks and each tank has a skid plate under each one with an air space of about 1". If you have that plate under your tank you should be fine. If your exhaust gets hot enough to cause a fire hazard with that skid in place, you have bigger problems. That air gap is key.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it if that skid is in place. But no big deal if you are not comfortable with it.
