Hey there, I'm Russ
I am a boat mechanic from North Idaho, I've been collecting 67-72 parts for (at least) 10 years.
The ultimate goal being, to build a little 2wd short box street machine. well, I've had about every configuration of long box there is, I could never get my greasy little paws on a short box ...That all changed three days ago. I scored a '68 2wd short box(most of one), from a guy on craigslist for $529 I have spent the last 48 hours, in Montana , harvesting my C10 parts collection. Got to go to bed but, a new build thread is coming soon. I've been waiting to build this truck for 20 years. This will be a resurrection, NOT a restoration. I look forward to being a part of this site. -Russ ...Yes I will post pics soon, but this is an introduction, not a build thread. |

Re: Hey there, I'm Russ
Well I got shanghaied over the winter and the truck just sat under a pile of snow. No money and all. Fear not, for today the sun was shining and fortune smiled upon me, once again.
Parts TRUCK FOUND AND PURCHACED! 72 swb, I-6, 3 speed, in pretty rough condition. PO said it ran a couple years ago. Anyway I gave $400 and its a complete truck only missing the rear window ( I have two in storage) I'm gonna give it a tune up, and drive it for the summer. This winter I will tear them both down and bolt all my best parts together and sell off the rest. |
