I pulled the radiator out yesterday on my 77 C10 and saw that one of the heater hoses went to the top of the radiator on the Pass side (I think that one is normal) and the other went to the intake manifold instead of the water pump. (I don't think that's normal)
Can you guys take a look at yours and let me know how they're hooked up?

That's correct routing you have.

Cars were typically the ones that routed from intake manifold and water pump. GM did it various ways over the years on various models.

Connected to the intake manifold is correct, hot water coming out of the engine is going into the radiator core.

I believe automatic transmissions had the heater hose routed back to the radiator, probably to provide a little bit of early heat to the transmission cooler inside the radiator. Manual transmissions had the heater hose routed back to the water pump.

On my 84 they go to the rad and intake can somebody tell me which goes where currently I have the top to rad and bottom to engine I believe

My truck is a factory manual trans and has the heater core output connected to the radiator.
