Make/Year of Bed?
I picked up this short stepside trailer today, for what I thought was a 60-66 chevy. I started looking at it closer, the round area's on the fenders appear to be emblem marks. Would that size/shape correspond to a 60-61 GMC? There is a Chevy tailgate on it and if you look close, there appears to be two other similar discolored spots on the tailgate. There is also a bar stock welded on the side rail of the tailgate that sticks out 90 degrees and is then turned 90 degrees with a hole through it, maybe for the chain? The overall patina looks pretty consistent. Anyone have any idea what year/make this is from?

Re: Make/Year of Bed?
Probably a 60-66 chevy bed. The fenders were very similar from 55-66 on the chevys, only difference the 55-59? being narrower and the 60-66 being more rounded. I envy yer trailer though..wish I woulda kept my 60 LWB trailer.

Re: Make/Year of Bed?
Could be a mix of parts from 55 to 66 and no way of tracing what came from where with 60 years of time to mix and match. Never seen emblems on the rear fenders.

Re: Make/Year of Bed?
Were their possibly round reflectors stuck on those spots? That would seem to make sense for a trailer.

Re: Make/Year of Bed?
Huh, didn't think of that but I think you're right. There are mounting holes on the edges of the ones on the fenders, and now that I look at the tailgate more, those are slightly different, more rectangular.

Re: Make/Year of Bed?
Step side beds were identical from late 55-66.
Like said before, probably reflectors or lights of some kind mounted. Cool trailer though!
