Radiator Help Needed

Hey Guys,

I just got a new radiator for my 71, it fits great, but it don't have the top cap (see pick) I don't like the look of the open channel on top of the rad, very unappealing when installed. This the third one that I have ordered from different places. Luckily I was able to send the other 2 back. Which rad is everyone using for a clean appearance?

Re: Radiator Help Needed

You could buy or make a cover that attaches to the rad support.

Lmc, for example, sells one.

I did buy that after the first rad but didn't like the look, but love the front filler panel.

Re: Radiator Help Needed

That is the old rad, but is it the look I want instead of having the nasty channel between the support and fan shroud.

Re: Radiator Help Needed

Had a guy at the local rad shop make one for my new rad. hated the top of the rad and those grooves showing. he used brushed aluminum and it looks great. He even welded it on.

Re: Radiator Help Needed

Not quite sure what look you are after, but here's a pic of the one I'm using.

Here's where I bought it.

That what I was looking for. I'check them out.

Any other brand out there that don't have that nasty groove on top. Any one have pics of the ones from LMC or Brothers
