Exclamation whats fair price on a 68-72 fleetside short bed?

Hello. im in the market for a fleetside short bed for my 1972 cst10. my bed just is not worth fixing, every panel is rusted through and looks to have been hit down one side. what would the fair price be for a nearly rust free, or one that needs a few small easy patches? im looking more for one that is optioned for wood floors. whould that effect the price at all or about the same between the two? im going to a large swap meet this upcoming weekend hopefully i can find one. thanks

Prices will greatly differ from a few hundred to over a thousand. In my opinion do a new bed... It's unbelievable the amount of rust even in a nice rust free exterior box. People, as well as me, are very happy with aftermarket bed sides and even complete beds. Hope this helps

It always seems a mystery for sheet metal. People say there is only one or two companies stamping bed sides but sold by many. Mine were from counterpart. They cost me 500 a bed side. Seems like a lot but they were about perfect out of the box so very little time needed to get ready for paint.

I prefer keyparts/triplus brand patch panels and bed parts. They are very thick stamped steel and have been the closest fit for me on everything I've tried (except inner door bottom repairs). I saw a while back a couple vendors were selling complete metal floor kits for 1900 including a tailgate and all hardware. Should be able to get a wood floor kit for a few hundred less then add the type of wood and strips to hold it down that you want....

AMD or Woodall get my vote if you're going to spend the coin for a whole new bed. Top quality rust free GM SWB fleet beds are hard to come by around here and most people want $1000+ for something needing blasted and body worked quite a bit.

The reproduction stuff has come a long way IMO.
