New 67-72 Padded Dash

Anyone else see the new dashpad for a 67-72? It's padded and covers the top portion of the dash too. It also has holes for three 2" gauges....I gotta have one.

If I already didn't have a new dash pad in my truck, I would think really hard about getting one. I don't remember the price, but I want to say it was a little much. But the fact of having 3 more gauges is very appealing! Water & Trans temp and volts for me.

I don't know the price, but I bet they might cost a bit more than a standard dash. It took someone a lot of time and a big investment to make the mold for it. If I can't get it in tan, I would have no problem dyeing it. I will install A volt gauge, trans temp and a clock. I really like the white background Phantom Auto Meter Gauges. I used them in a 68' Camaro and was really pleased with them.

Thanks for the link Dinnut. They did not have the price posted. I sent a request form for a quote. ...Just finished paying this weeks obligations. Maybe I'll have enough left over to pick one up and still eat this week....Thanks again.

I got my price from them a couple of weeks ago, $395 it was $60 off if you ordered before Dec 15th, still too much for me right now. Too many other things I need first.

I gotta say, I like em'!

Hey JYJ......"more money than brains crowd"? Most of the people that make good money have more than a few beans upstairs in their noggins.

I edited my post as to not piss anyone off. But not quick enough and I am quoted below so ..oh well, work hard and buy what you like. I work hard and usually make good money.... and I'll buy one of these dashes and with the money left over I'll buy a ticket for a trip down the Yellow Brick Road so I can ask the Great Wizard for a brain.

LOL .... and I'm just a lousy tile contractor.
I like them too. Don't know when I joined the "more money than brains crowd" I got the kids but no car payments and I'm just a lousy buyer for a natural gas utility company. I better let my manager know........I'm responsible for an annual budget of 30 million dollars....There might be some cause for concern.

They quoted me $400 and free shipping if I bought it before xmas.

Shipping is $60 but maybe more to Hawaii.

Guage pods are great..clock, water temp , and oil pressure. Note sure about the full cover.

Maybe we could them for $300 plus shipping if we did a group order?

Some of us are lucky to make that in a week.
One question, why would you want to put another oil pressure guage...I can kinda see why one might want another temp guage...one for each head, but even then, I would think you would want 2 of the same make...

I am not a big fan of factory gauges. I feel by keeping an eye on these two things, I can make my ride last a little longer.

You are correct about the wages. I am lucky if I make that much.

I think if you want something bad enough, you will watch you $$$ and make it happen....within reason. I doubt I will be buying a house on the beach anytime soon, but the dash is a possibility.

$400. a week?? I used to make that an hour!!! (sound like anyone we know??)hehehehe

Of course that's what my old boss said "you only put in about an hour's worth of work in the past month!"

Now you got to admit that the gauge dash pad is really neat. But at $400. I would want the front end of it to curl up to catch the water from my leaking windshield that way my lovemuffin could also use it as a planter!!

THEY DO LOOK AWFUL NICE... BUT COME ON... $400 0R $500?? THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE 3 OR 4 TIMES THE COST OF A STOCK ONE INSTEAD OF 10 TIMES WHAT THEY COST FOR ME TO BUY ONE, BUT THEN AGAIN I DON'T PROFESS TO BE SPENDING $25,000 OR $30,000 ON A FIRST VEHICAL FOR MY KID EITHER. I DIDN'T MEEN TO INSULT ANYBODY BY THAT "MORE MONEY THAN BRAINS" COMMENT , IT'S ONLY THAT $400 OR $500 SEEMS LIKE ALOT TO ME. JOHN
Hey JYJ......"more money than brains crowd"? Most of the people that make good money have more than a few beans upstairs in their noggins.
& QUITE A FEW THAT I'VE MET ARE DUMBER THAN A BOX OF ROCKS TOO. MONEY OR AGE DON'T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE YOU SMARTER. I'VE BOUGHT A FEW THINGS THAT I KNOWINGLY PAID MORE THAN THE ITEM WAS WORTH, JUST BECAUSE I WANTED IT.... BUT I'M SURE IT DIDN'T MAKE ME SEEM ANY TO SMART. JOHN
