Bench vise: is this a good one?
I need a vise for my garage....pretty soon I'll need one so I can flare my new fuel lines. What do you think of this one?
Can you suggest better up to about $150.00 dollars? http://www.sears.com/craftsman-4-in-...2&blockType=G2 |

That's a small vise I have one. For 150 you can get a very nice used Wilton, Columbian or even an older Craftsman off ebay or craiglist

Re: Bench vise: is this a good one?
4'' is fine if your working on watches or jewelry
if that's all you want, stop by the house, i'll give you one my dad had like dwcsr said, look on craigslist for a bigger vise 6'' is better not that i like it, but i have one, for $69 you can't go wrong with the 6" harbor fright vise any vise will break if you hammer hard on it, harbor fright vise will break easier be prepared to spend money on a big name brand vice i paid $200 plus shipping for this woodworkers 12'' vise on ebay the guy bought it in the 80s and never installed it
