55 gmc grille

gmc owners... I found a 55 or 56 truck a few miles from home. it is a larger truck, duel wheels, are the eyebrows the same as a 150 eyebrow. they look close but im not sure. Thought id ask the experts. any help would be great. Thanks

Re: 55 gmc grille

This isn't the best picture of the front of my 55 but the brows should be the same, I believe they are all the same up to the 1 ton + tilt front body style. I'm not 100% on that but GM wasn't overly creative back then and generally made one part fit a wide array of vehicles

I guess you mean one like this.

The 2nd pic is a low cab forward.

Re: 55 gmc grille

The only difference would be the bumper brackets to the chassis and the outer grill trim or the center section maybe, as the lower part of the fender is wider then the 150 fender. Also the trim piece between the bumper and fender trim is different.

Take a close look at the pic's you'll notice that on the Grey truck the lower part of the fender is wider and curves back to the door. You can see it along the belt line at the rear of the fender.
