Question Lifting a 2wd 1987

Hello everyone.

I have a 1987 short bed 2wd 1/2 ton. It has 225/70/15 tires all round. I measured the distance from the floor to the fender. It was 30" in the front and 31" in the rear.

I didn't like the stance so I swapped out the stock coils for 3/4 ones I believe. I also swapped out the shocks on the front. On the rear, it used to have the 4 leaf set-up on the rear. I swapped them out for the 6 leaf set-up but the shocks are still the same. Now the distance from the floor to the fender is 33" up front and 32" on the rear. I want the rear to be at least 36" from the floor to the fender.

What do you advise me to do? What do you thing about blocks? Where can I find them? I also prefer to have a comfortable ride and I won't be towing or hauling.

Thank you in advance and I appreciate the help

Re: Lifting a 2wd 1987

check from the body line to be more accurate, the front wheel lip sits up about 1 1/2" higher. you can flip the shackle. i dont like lift blocks. i have seen allot of egos get bruised then gets try to take their trucks with a trailer in the dunes and the the axle just wraps "WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM WHAM" i wouldnt do tall blocks without caltracs
