2mas swedish build - 1966
Hi guys,
Starting a thread for my build. I'm from Sweden, Uppsala, 50mi north of Stockholm. Been a GM guy all life, but mainly been in to european Opels. This truck is my third, and it's a keeper. The short term plan is to slam it, with bags and Detroit steelies. It's a c20, bbw, lwb, fleet side, factory ac, 327, automatic. Fair condition with some cab corner rust. Long term plan (dream) is to fit a duramax.... //Thomas

Re: 2mas swedish build - 1966
This is the first time I see the truck. My father livs in US. I'm visiting for thanks giving and to do some pre-work before shipping. Swapping from c20 suspension to c10.

Re: 2mas swedish build - 1966
The swap went quite good, the parts are from a 67 c10.
Encountered some issue, the drive shaft do not fit, c20 drive shaft on c10 axel did not fit... Any ideas? New c10 axel or rebuild the rear yoke/joint.

WELCOME ABOARD!
The truck looks like a pretty good start to me! Good luck! Can you just use the driveshaft from the donor truck that you removed the suspension from?

They make 'conversion' U-joints for such issues.

Re: 2mas swedish build - 1966
Hi guys,
My truck finally arrived in Uppsala, Sweden this friday! What a beuty. Drives really nice. The wheels turn out just the way I wanted. Getting ready for inspection now. Will probably drive it as is this summer. Might move to the US, Boston, for two years so I guess the build will be on hold. Hoping to find some nice parts to the truck while there. (My house in the background, traditional Swedish style, built it my self)

Re: 2mas swedish build - 1966
Truck looks killer. I like the house also. What kind of roof is on your house? I really like the wheels on your truck.

Re: 2mas swedish build - 1966
The roof is kind of same material as in bricks (burned clay) that is very common all over Europe.
A-bombers I've never hear of, but It sure looks interesting.

Re: 2mas swedish build - 1966
Hi guys,
Working on my truck and came to a qustion you might have the answer to. Why is my truck fitted with aluminim grill and bezels? Was this an option? Mine is a c20 66? Just fitted the Euro style headlights needed to pass inspection, would have liked to kept the standard sealed beam being a GE employee with that brand on there...

Re: 2mas swedish build - 1966
The aluminum grill was a custom option for the trucks. Usually fitted with the custom cab as well.
