The lights are reflectors and usually owner installed. That is a 47-53 box.

Yep not the greatest place to put them but I have seen a lot of them mounted there over the years. I'd have to believe the "the law says it has to have two reflectors and right here is easy to reach and I don't have to make any brackets or get under the truck" thing came into play on most of them.

Here's another pic of that bed that was made into a trailer. Can anyone tell me their opinion on bringing this back as a truck bed and getting rid of the metal floor?

I guess what i'm asking is, would this be a decent purchase?

Most guys who stuck/stick a metal floor in one of these beds don't go overboard about fastening them down. See how it's fastened in and figure out how to take it out and then you may have some clean up work to do if it was welded in.t

My guess is that is whats left of the wood and metal strips is under the steel bed floor.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
