Insurance...

Our truck is very close to completion, and we are looking for classic car insurance for the truck. Its not a daily driver by no means... More of a Sunday driver. only a summer time vehicle.. Someone said Hagerty, but when I look up classic trucks on the web site says they need to be Pre 1965??? I'm in Ontario Canada. not sure if that makes any difference or not.. Anyone have recommendations?? Thanks

Re: Insurance...

A very good question. My truck will be a work truck and part time daily driver. I am in the middle of replacing all the fuel and vent lines right now.....hope to get it on the road this summer.

For my 67 C10 I used GEICO's classic insurance $28650 for $224 yr. Must be kept inside locked building.

Re: Insurance...

I got a quote from hagerty and geico and the when to my regular insurance company (Erie insurance) and told them its not my everyday driver and they insured in for less than what the first two quoted me.

Re: Insurance...

Search Lant Insurance Brokers, they are located in Ontario. They sell Hagerty insurance. I've been using them for years with no problems.

Haggerty is a proven no fuss payer. It doesnt matter how cheap the prmium is if they dont pay.

My agreed value policy with Grundy Worldwide is the same price but the value we agreed on is $65,000. That's with unlimited mileage AND coverage to and from the dragstrip and in the pits. They just don't cover it while it is on an active track.

I would shop a bit more....

Re: Insurance...

I insured mine for $15000 with http://www.americancollectors.com via USAA. It cost me $160 for a year. I can drive it 5000 miles and it has to be stored in a locked building.
