Re: Wanted to trade seat belts

Just for clarification...you are looking to trade your OEM lap belts for OEM shoulder belts?

Re: Wanted to trade seat belts

They are not integrated. If you find shoulder belts you still need to use your lap belts in conjunction with them.

Re: Wanted to trade seat belts

I will try and post a pic later if someone does not beforehand. The shoulder belts are essentially lap belts...just mounted at different points. You end up using two male and two female belts with the setup. Unless you are going for an original restoration I would use a modern 3 point system. The OEM setup is a royal pain in the butt to use.

Re: Wanted to trade seat belts

I forgot about this thread...sorry for the delay, and for some reason my iPhone took a weird pic. The shoulder portion is not retractable, so if you need to lean forward to adjust your radio, look in a mirror, turn around, etc, you are hosed since you are harnessed to the seat.

Re: Wanted to trade seat belts

Yea I see your point. Modern seat belts will be a better option but I still will need the loop in the upper corners of the cab. Does anyone sale that part?

Re: Wanted to trade seat belts

seatbeltstore.com

They can make the 3 point belts with new GM buckles that bolt up to the factory holes.
