Stock GMC V6 AC Compressor Location

Looking on rockauto.com I see that I can get a stock rebuilt AC compressor for my gmc v6. Question is, where on the engine did the stock compressor go? I have power steering so that side of the engine is pretty tight.

Re: Stock GMC V6 AC Compressor Location

I believe that AC was a dealer add on, on all V6 up to 1966 after that it was a factory option. On the factory AC it's on the passenger side, the dealer install AC I have seen on both sides on top of the power steering or on top of the alternator, sorry I don't have any pics.
P.S. they both use different compressor
