Side Pipes anyone?

If you look at my build thread, I recently dropped my Tahoe 2" front and rear and also removed the running boards.

It looks kinda naked without the running boards there so I was thinking about some 3-4" black side pipes to take up the space.

Has anyone done exhaust like that on a Tahoe? Anyone have pictures of one?

Thanks for your input!

I would really like this style of pipe from front to rear..

Also, looking at kits like this that I can paint black.

Come on man!! I just talking flat black pipes so they don't stand out too much. It will almost look like the running boards I removed.

I was just kidding......

In the morning, when the condensation blows out from both sides of the truck, looks cool, running down the street.

Re: Side Pipes anyone?

Black would be a low-key way to go. Here's a pic of what I ran on one of my '65SWB C-10's. I bought 'em for $25.....in '75. They had been run on a 1st gen Mustang.

Re: Side Pipes anyone?

Those would cool. I'm not looking for them to stand out too much. I just love the sound of them. Thanks for sharing the picture.

Re: Side Pipes anyone?

I personally have never seen one of these years with side pipes. I think the would look good though. If it is driven much, remember a heat shield. it hurts BAD when your leg hits one getting out of the truck.

That truck looks tough. I like it with the old style wheels and the pipes. Down and dirty! GTT
