I can't believe the price on the current bid:

Re: NOS dash pad on Ebay…holy cow.

High bidding activity probably because not only is it an NOS pad but a factory dyed color-I believe after awhile NOS pads went to a "paint to match" status. I've seen this with 78-88 Monte Carlo stuff-its moonrock rare to see an NOS GM Dashpad in its original factory color.

Fed Ex wanted to charge me $120 to ship a dash pad and a grille center section due to the length. UPS was 140. Unless you're a business, long boxes suck to ship. I ended up going Greyhound bus for 70 something.

Re: NOS dash pad on Ebay…holy cow.

That is ridiculous. These are pickup trucks, not 50's corvettes.

Re: NOS dash pad on Ebay…holy cow.

These trucks have become very prized overseas and that's what has caused prices to rise on NOS parts. You can still find deals on parts but there are many that are willing to pay for the perfect part to complete their restoration. I like looking at the trucks these parts are going on. Its the time we live in and the fact that you have to compete with buyers all around the world now. Craigslist is great for local sales but eBay opened up a whole new world.

Really appreciate that. We did not get the thanks our men and women in uniform get today. We felt like the scum of the earth when we came home and all we were doing was serving our country. I am so proud of the way they are treated today when they come home from war. I lost some good friends in Nam. Search and destroy missions. I just happen to be one of the lucky ones. So many were not. I was proud to serve our country. So many people do not know what we go through in war. Combat can really mess up your head. Again, thanks'. Just wish there were no more wars. Sorry for going on. Also, thank you for your service. You for one know what I mean.
