1970 SWB build
Just sharing a few pictures of my build. Started it about 2 weeks ago. it's a 70 SWB with a 350. Midwest truck almost 100% rust free so I have a real solid platform to work with.
Bought the truck a few months back had a few other projects I was working on so I just got a chance to start it. This is when it came in I had taken a few of the moldings off already. Here is how it sits as of today. Got all the moldings off, all the holes welded. Antenna shaved, I have most of the passanger side stripped to the metal and the bed has already been stripped and primed. Should be finished stripping the drivers side in the next few days and I will have the truck mostly apart by next week. Going to go all black with orange and black houndstooth inside. Oak wood bed. Lowered with full suspension upgrades (no bags) 4 wheel disk and build the 350 that's currently in it. |

Re: 1970 SWB build
First off welcome to the board.
That is a very nice truck to start with, it looks like it has been restored once before, the front end gives it away, someone put a 1971-72 grill in it but kept the 1970 hood which is why it has dual bowties. Do you plan on fully restoring the frame? |

Re: 1970 SWB build
So after taking a break on the build I have been back at it. Just finished the wood bed. Next I'm going to be getting work on the suspension so I can drop the motor in.
I also have a ton of extra parts to sell if anyone needs anything feel free to ask (moldings, trim, body part ect...) Last edited by daceptikon; 05-14-2014 at 09:38 AM. |

Re: 1970 SWB build
Thanks! That's awesome you don't see too many c10s around here. More classic cars then trucks
