4x4 front driveshaft chews into my headers
I posted this here concerning my '88 V-30 (old body style) Camper special with a 454. It needs exhaust work & I want to replace the headers at the same time. The set that is on it now was on the truck when I bought it & they are Hedmans. The front driveshaft beats into one of the tubes BAD. The collectors are too low IMO. There would be plenty of room for them to dump out higher, solving this problem. There is a little room to be closer to the leaf spring shackle, but not much. My truck has stock suspension. A lift would help this problem, but I don't want one. Anyone know what headers fit this 454/4spd/4x4 combo worth a damn? My truck has a hyd. clutch so linkage is not a problem.

I picked up a PAW catalog and looked up the headers for my application, v-8, 4x4, whatever tranny, etc. Turned out Hookers fit right in no-problems. None since!

I run hooker headers and have no problems. Plenty of room.
