Hello All,

New guy here. What an awesome website here! I have a recetly acquired a 68 C10 in great shape that I am going to start working on this spring. What I am looking for is some aftermarket trailing arms. I wouldn't mind finding out where the guys on "2 Guys Garage" got those billet trailing arms for their project El Camino. The trailing arms on my truck are Ok, but they don't look like they will stand up to high HP abuse. Anyone have any ideas, suggestions, or websites I can check out.

www.lmctruckparts.com has them, but they are like $300 each.

I have the LMC catalog and I saw the boxed in type. I am holding out to see if I can find those I saw on Two Guys Garage. They were Billet and they were anodized blue.

I don't know how fast you are planning on going, but with very minimal bracing these stock arms are remarkably strong. I have run 1.25 60' times at the track with the stock arms. I'm going to go check out the ones posted about from the coolness factor, but from a strength standpoint I don't think the originals will fail below 1500 HP minimum with very little bracing.

Yeah I was trying to up the coolness factor. I saw those on the El Camino and I fell into the "I have to have those syndrome"...

the 67 c10 they are building on Trucks TV has the stock trailing arms on it and it has a 572 big block

I wish they would update their website with some cool pics and more details of the completed Project Copperhead Chevy.

Since you mentioned the copperhead truck. I know it's a bit off topic, but does anybody remember where they got the pieces to take the exhaust through the crossmember. I know I can make something to do the same thing, but that billet looked nice.

The trailing arms for 'caminos are much different & shorter than the trucks. I don't believe 'aluminum' would work well as long as the trucks arms are.
