CST trim or not?....

So I've got my 70 in the body shop, with paint scheduled for next week. It's originally a CST, but I'm not quite sure I would like it to have the side trim. How many of you prefer the clean look, or the CST trim running down the sides?? Would it be that big if a deal to drill the holes back out later if I decided I want it, or leave the holes and never put them on? Would it effect value at all?

I prefer the trim myself. Prob could re drill the holes but they are in some difficult to get to spots.

See what it looks like and if you wanted to add it later they make stick on moulding clips

Re: CST trim or not?....

I hear the stick on tend to come off over time though. I think the trim gives it a nice look. Someone welded mine up when it was repainted before I got it. I plan to go back to the trim when I get the set.

To me the side trim is a must! These trucks look naked and plain without it.

Trim on, no question. The stick on moulding stuff sucks btw... don't use that as a fall back.

Re: CST trim or not?....

Trim looks great, I feel like it really sets these trucks off. My shortbed project is a CST, and the PO welded the holes shut. Not happy about that, I will put it back. My Blazer doesn't have them, but it will.

If it was originally a cst id put it back on. Mine are plain janes but i may put trim on the 72 that will be a full resto.

My 72 K5 is a CST and I plan on keeping the trim on it.

Re: CST trim or not?....

My 72 k5 is a Cst and the trim is staying on but I don't think it will hurt the value to leave it off.
