Identifying transmission
Is there a good resource that will help me identify the transmission in my 1972 c10 lwb stepside. It has the 307 motor. F

If it is an automatic, then page 10 of the LMC truck catalog has a diagram showing what the different transmission pans look like from the bottom.
If you do not have a catalog, you should order one. I am not recommending buying from them, but the pictures makes for a great assembly manual. You can also look at it online on their website. |

3 OTT are all Saginaws.

Its generally known even in the parts catalogs as a truck three-speed Saginaw, used behind 250, 292 and 307 engines, you might find it on a build sheet as code ZW4. 350 and 400 C10s and all K10s used a HD version with slghtly different gear ratios
