play in steering shaft
I've got alittle play in the steering and it seems to be coming from the steering shaft. I have replaced the gearbox replace the rag joint installed a collapsible steering shaft and have an aftermarket tilt steering column. its very noticeable driving down the road. it has the DD universal joint. Its not the alignment.

Re: play in steering shaft
Have you checked or replaced your inner and outer tie rods,I replaced mine when I purchased my truck and it took a lot of the play out of the steering.

Re: play in steering shaft
I also heard if you're using a universal joint on the steering shaft you need some sort of bracket. anyone else heard of that
