Front Rotor Replacement 85 K10 4x4

Folks, has anyone replaced the front hub/rotor on a K10 4x4? I have the autolocking hubs and I was told a special tool is required to get the rotor off. I looked through the manual and the only thing that looks like it may require a special tool is the retainer nut for the hub bearing.

Any thoughts???

Thanks,

Marty

The only "special" tool you require is the wheel bearing nut socket.

It's a bit of work to replace the rotors but a pretty easy job overall.

Goodluck.

Make sure that those auto hubs hit the round bin about 30seconds after they are removed from the truck.

Just need the hub nut tool ($15-20 for most parts stores) and a ice pick. Don't need the hub nut tool if your replacing the locking hubs but whens the last time the bearings were serviced? Ot would be worth checking. Pick up a Haynes shop manual when you get the tool. It has the proper way to preload the wheel bearings in there.
