68 Fenders?

Hey guys,

In the process of taking a 69 clip off of my 68.. The hood for sure is a 69 and so is the grill.. Looking at the fenders though- it looks like they are 68's?

Re: 68 Fenders?

The core support, center grille support and hood latch are also different from the 68 model year. It sounds as though someone did a full clip swap at some point in your trucks life.

Nothing wrong with the later years but I like the 67-68 a little better too.

There's probably some value in your 69+ stuff too if you wanted to sell. I went through the same thing when I got my 69.

Re: 68 Fenders?

Thanks Chad,

Yeah I really like the 67-68 models the best.. I found a whole 68 front clip but was hoping to save a bit if I already had the 68 fenders... Well... Another day another dollar!

Re: 68 Fenders?

Are the inner fenders and radiator support universal?

Re: 68 Fenders?

Inner fenders are the same, the radiator support is 68 / 69 different.

Don't forget your front bumper and parking lights as well as the grille-to-bumper inner splash / gravel shield.

The easiest way is to just grab the whole clip -inner fenders of course.
