Can I us timken one piece wheel bearings on a 1987 chevy 10 bolt?

I was searching for wheel bearings for my 1987 chevy v10 and found these timken one piece wheel bearings, but I don't know if they will work with a 1987 chevy 10 bolt, as they are only shown available for 1970's model cars with a gm 10 bolt 8.5. Will they work with an 87 10 bolt? Is their any difference? Here is a link to them. http://www.popularhotrodding.com/tec...aring_upgrade/

It looks like it sticks out further than the stock bearing/seal so my concern is that you may not have enough length left in your axleshaft to handle the added overall width. I'd just swap in a new set of standard ones and a good seal. Timken or National.

However, I've never used it so don't know for sure. Just a guess at this point. You might just look before removing the seal and bearings to see if you have enough extra room on the shaft to handle it..... Just pulling off the drum you should be able to tell pretty quickly without removing "everything" and draining your differential.

I like that idea of using the same axle IF it is not damaged too bad!
Good post thanks!

Those bearings are for axle shafts that are damaged. If you pull your shafts out and they are not damaged in the bearing area you don't need them. They aren't an upgrade, they're a band aid. If your shafts are ok just usethe normal bearings and seals.
