sway bars
Are the 67 c10 supposed to have a sway bar? The one I bought last fall doesn't have the sway bar.

Re: sway bars
Some 67 - 72 ' s were optioned with them but a lot of them didn't have sway bars. There should be mounting holes in your lower A arms for them. The front frame rivets in the crossmember would need to be taken out to allow for the sway bar mounting brackets.

Re: sway bars
OK Thanks I've been studying the rubber kits for these trucks and they all come with the sway bar rubbers and had me concerned that mine didn't have the sway bar.

Re: sway bars
I just did this on my truck, as mine didn't come with one either. Swaybars from 67-86 will bolt right up. The tricky thing will be that you need brackets for the frame. If you're grabbing stuff from a junkyard, you can grab the brackets there, but it'll be riveted in. I grabbed an 1-1/4" one from a '78 c20, a bushing and bracket kit from lmc and then http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...679913&alt=web
They also make a different bracket if you've lowered your truck. |
