1/2 ton 2wd to 3/4 swap?

I currently have a daily driver 84 swb c10.lowered 6-7 in the front and it's got an axle flip in the back. It's got a 350 with a th350 trans. I'm wanting to take it from the current 5 lug setup to possibly a 8 lug 3/4 set up like a camper special? What all would be needed?

I'm thinking of going with the full floating 14 bolt rear but I'm wondering if there is an axle width difference. Also on the front rotors and spindles can I get away with just a rotor and caliper swap? I want to keep my drop spindles.

I also plan on swapping in an 6.2 and a 2wd sm465 4 speed. I've got all the parts for the 4 speed swap from my 87 swb parts truck so no parts hunting there. Just need to source everything for the 6.2 swap.

I want to be able to tow a car trailer. Before anyone knocks the 6.2 Idea I know it can be done and know what to expect. It's a daily driver most of the time and a hauler second. I'm thinking I could knock on 30mpg with this setup. Right now since the 350 is hopped up I may be getting 10 if I'm lucky cause the 2.56 gears in my truck make it feel sluggish at 55. The sweet spot is closer to 65-70. I've got 255 70 r15 tires on it.

the 14 bolt is 67'' from inner brake to inner brake (I believe).

You will need new lower control arms. New spindles. New brakes.

Scratch that idea then..darn. Guess I'll just have to wait and drop a longbed camper special at some point.

yeah the 8 lug rotors, as you can imagine, have huge bearings that dwarf the 1/2 ton spindles. I learned the hard way...

on a side note are there lift/drop spindles for 1 ton trucks available?

And the 6.2 in a full size will get 23ish in mixed driving, 26-27 on the highway at 60mph, with an overdrive and 3.23 gears for that tire size. With the 3.42 14 bolt and the granny to direct trans, you might hit 23, 2 0would be more probable. Yes it will tow.
