Does this tbi adaptor plate look right?

just installed my rochester 4bbl intake manifold to tbi adaptor plate and it does not seem to line up correctly with the holes in the manifold. anyone ever installed one of these ? dont seem right having a portion of the original holes in the manifold partially blocked by the spacer....

Re: Does this tbi adaptor plate look right?

Yes I think you have to put the ports in the adapter over the large area of the intake for the secondaries

Agree. If you can handle the extra height it gives, the 454 piece is an example of fine GM quality that fits perfect.

The throttle body goes over the secondary holes in the intake.

Re: Does this tbi adaptor plate look right?

Sorry if I gave you incorrect info, the only TBI adapters I have ever seen go over the rear of the carb intake. If it only fits one way, yours must be different. Contact Summit? Maybe that's the way it's intended to be used, but looks restrictive.

Re: Does this tbi adaptor plate look right?

Pop your adaptor off and take a pic of your intake for us.
Not all rochestor intakes are the same.

Re: Does this tbi adaptor plate look right?

That particular adapter is just not meant to work with that particular manifold. THat, or someone built the adapter backwards.

Re: Does this tbi adaptor plate look right?

the bolt holes line up when laid on the manifold in either direction, but the air holes do not line up at all... did i order the wrong plate on summit or is this just an error on there behalf?

Re: Does this tbi adaptor plate look right?

so which plate should i have ordered? it said small block chevy quadra jet spread bore to TBI... this is what was on my engine? i can't see this being square bore? and the gasket fits perfect i think they sent me the wrong plate with the right gasket... I'm just wondering should i be under the impression they made a mistake when i call or was i the one who made the mistake?

Re: Does this tbi adaptor plate look right?

I'm afeared you mighta got the wrong one.
Look here.

That plate would work on an eddy performer 2101 though.
Call Summit. Explain the situation. Not like they haven't seen mistakes made before.
