wanna lay running boards on og frame, please help!

i wanna lay running boards on a 1950 OG frame and wondered if a mII with bags will work or what kit will, will also be running 15 inch steel wheels.i have the rear figured out but thee front??????????

If I live to be 100 I'll never understand why making your truck look like it's got a broken suspension is cool but I think most MII setups will do what you want. I'd call and ask the manufacture and ask.

Several guys on here have trucks that lay the boards so you will get some decent ideas before too long I'd think.

Really you could save your personal opinion and either answer his question or move on. It does not set a good impression for a new member to have to read "your" opinion. With the number of your posts I would think that you would have learned that by now...

Back to the original question. I would help but I'm not running a MII suspension. It should allow you to get the truck down low but if you plan to drive that low that will take some additional work. Look around at some of the project builds with people using air bags. I think there are quite a few with MII set ups.

I don't understand why you like the top on your truck to look like you ran under an 18 wheeler either

I Also Have A 51 Gmc.. Looking To Slam It aswell.. I Have A Clean "Original" frame So No Plans On A S10 Swap.. Ill 4 Link The Rear With Bags.. An Looking Into Mustang II With Bags For The Front Drop Too.. Any Input On What Kit Is Best??

Here are a some pics of the little black truck that may help. The rear would need a kick up to go lower. The front was Fatman and was modified. One picture looks like the bag might be rubbing; however it did have clearance. These arms were modified by some friends with a lot of fabrication and welding experience, so I wouldn't recommend that to others. Use a kit engineered by professionals like on the 'Burb frame in the bottom picture.

When building this truck I didn't plan on air bags and some younger friends talked me into it. Funny thing, whenever we would "air it out" at a show, it really got the young guys attention and they wanted to look it all over. If there is anything I can do to encourage young people with this hobby / sport I am all for it.

i like em low and fast. if your looking for some of the best products on the market to lay frame and drive hard then call justin at scotts hot rod. i built both these trucks with scotts ifs front and rear 4-bar.

to answer your question yes you can lay frame with a original frame. lots of modification is needed but with the right parts you can have a killer ride. good luck.

I used a Scott's hot rods ifs also and am very happy with it it is well designed and it was the easiest front bag job I've ever done and I have bagged multiple s10's and an isuzu. Good luck

I've seen it done with a MII and drop spindles. Your travel may dictate what tires you'll need to run, but other than that, I think it won't take any other mods up front anyway.
The rear will need to be notched and the bed will likely have to either be raised or tunneled. But you said you have that figured out.
