How much for this 71 Longhorn Custom Camper 91K miles
Is this worth $2800? Bought new by owners father-in-law. It's clean with replaced rockers.

Re: How much for this 71 Longhorn Custom Camper 91K miles
in my area, this would be closer to $1800. the truck does appear to be very clean and as long as its relatively rust free, another $1000 would not be out of the question. i personally would like to see a few more options for $2800 (like bucket seats or tilt wheel or a/c or tach dash).

Maybe $7500 with the bulldozer! :-)
No really, Custom Deluxe 20 Longhorn, lower to mid twos if it is really rust free. The bedwood and strips are close to $750 for pine and basic stainless to correct the horrors I am sure are lurking under the plastic.

Re: How much for this 71 Longhorn Custom Camper 91K miles
I'd give it some serious consideration but would need to look it over in person. It looks like most of the trim is there but needs a new front bumper. From what I can see is that some of the the expensive parts like the the inner & outer grille, door panels, dash and tailgate look OK. I don't see rot in the kick panels either. The body looks good and the panels appear to be in good alignment too. I'd say that depending on the rust condition you may have a pretty nice truck for the money there. The bed may cost a bit more to replace since it's a Longhorn.

Re: How much for this 71 Longhorn Custom Camper 91K miles
Thanks guys. The rockers have been replaced and there is minor cab corner and cab support rust. Fenders are rust free. Tailgate is in great shape. Bed wood is trashed that's why the liner is there. Oh yeah- the turbines are 16.5" so add new tires/wheels to the short list of post purchase expenses. Still tempted.

Very tempting, Pete. might make a good 4x4 conversion platform! I'd probably buy if it was close to me

Re: How much for this 71 Longhorn Custom Camper 91K miles
Thanks Jud - it's still available. I thought of grabbing the K20 that's also for sale locally and using its running gear for a 4wd conversion of the Longhorn...if I only had the space!
