Dang,
I hope you figure yours out easier than mine. Check the fuse in the left side of the dash hidden by the driver's door. I.e. Open the door and look for the little cover. I think there are two fuses fo 4wd. If you blow the fuse, Mine had two broken wires that took like 5 months, $3000 and 7 trips to the dealership. The Dealership can look at your error codes and maybe tell you what the problem is. After that, you just start replacing parts. Here is the order that I came up with: 1) Engaging solenoid in front axle, the new part has a cylindric spacer about 1.25 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches long. Make sure you have one and only one as this is an addition and some folks have added two. $125.00 2) Transfer case engagement motor and gear drive, $545.00 3) Computer for 4wd $575.00 3) Dash switch $175 4) rebuilt t-case $1800 Then you find the broken wire.... !5) divorce because your wife's damn car won't work after 3K $100,000.00, your house and allimony, but you get to keep the suburban! 6) "Accidental" fire in 2wd suburban, 3 years in jail
