I did a google search and came up with this:



That looks like an Ididit floor shift model that sits really far in. I think that wheel might hit the dash if it's tilted all the way up though. It might in your truck too but maybe that's OK if it just barely touches since the wheel is padded.

Looks like the '57 to '59 GMC wheel is the same as the Chevy except for the horn button. I like this option the best for you but I'm partial to the vintage look of the large original wheels.

I've been thinking about the brake pedal issue.....It seems like whichever way I decide to go, I'm going to have to modify the pedal.
I am going to see where the underfloor unit I have is going to bottom out compared to the floor height.
I ran into kind of the same problem when I did this conversion in my '52 hardtop. They really don't make a underfloor bracket for my car, only the fleetlines and stylelines,(the convertibles and hardtops frames are different) so what I ended up doing with that was making the rod longer that goes from the pedal to the M/C to make it work. So what I was thinking with the truck is if the pedal is too high, is to shorten the rod between the pedal and M/C to get the pedal lower, depending on where the M/C bottoms out

I like the look of having a clean firewall.
