My fan is an aftermarket 18" diameter, non-clutch type. The inside of the shroud is 20". I'm with Orge, with a straight type shroud you should be able to adjust it up and down to center the fan, by redoing the bolt holes, same with side to side if the water pump is not centered on the radiator. Front to back should not be an issue since it is a cylinder and not venturi type. If it is too deep and interferes with the belts, tin snips and a edge rounding dolly will fix that. Mine has extensive modifications using tin and pop rivets to attach to the plastic shroud. Semi gloss plack paint hides pretty good.
