Re: vin decoding problems.....
Thanks! All the decoders didn't have those options. And they were saying the 5th # was supposed to be a digit for the year.

Re: vin decoding problems.....
On the 1967 to 1971 Chevys the 5th digit was the year. The GMC's decoded differently until 1972, then they were the same. On the decoders you looked at, what did they say about the letter B?
BTW That's a nice looking C-30 in your avatar. And a factory Stake bed, very cool. What are your plans for it? |

Re: vin decoding problems.....
There was nothing on the decoders about "B". Thank you! And it's a dump box! This summer plans includes lots of body work..looks good, but the floor is rotted pretty bad. Other plans are trying to find some 4.11s for her! And eventually a paint job

Re: vin decoding problems.....
I was just looking at your build sheet thread and I was wondering if your SPID (glovebox option sticker) was still intact.

Re: vin decoding problems.....
Nope nowhere to be found...looks as if it was scraped right off. No remnants.

Re: vin decoding problems.....
Same as my truck, It's a 68 C-10, SPID was gone and the GB door was repainted. I did have a protect o plate, so that helped a little.

Re: vin decoding problems.....
I found a little tag behind the seat, saying "truck back" and a number.
