headlight conversion?
I am looking for a good kit. I bought some bulbs from brothers and they don't fit. Anyone have suggestions? I'm open to anything other than sealed. I'm not really looking to go HID but maybe.

I did just look at DDM tuning website and I think those might work as well. But I will also give hella a call to. I'm not to sure why these euro crystal ones from brothers don't fit yet, little pissed about the whole thing actually

If you change your mind about sealed beam headlights, a pair of SilverStar H6024's and a relay upgrade will improve your stock lighting many, many times over.

I don't think I need a harness as I've got a complete harness from autorewire. Is lots better wire than stock and should handle better lights. I have thought about keeping sealed beam but just not sold yet

Does your new harness have relays to take the load off the factory headlight switch, allowing you to get full voltage to your headlights? Without this, any upgrade you pursue in lighting, whether it be HID, sealed beam, etc, is pointless IMO.

This is very true. What many people don't understand is that you can have the best wire in the world but the switch (and connectors) is a bottleneck. Think of it this way; you have a fire hydrant as a water source, but a 1/2" valve to regulate it. You can't get all that water past the valve no matter how hard you push.

First off, definitely use a relay kit. Then, I suggest these. Did this about 18 months ago and they are excellent.

First I suggest the relay kit no matter who's wiring you have unless it already has them built into the system. You will never see the full amount of light out of any of them unless you use a relay kit.

I bought mine at LMC. They seemed to have the best price and the quality was decent. It had an ugly yellow cover on the harness which I took off.

The LMC kits are wired backwards. Check previous threads. Be prepared to be popping packard connectors out and putting them in the right place, etc.
I upgraded mine to 4-lamp HID. I used the Kensun (or Kelsun) kit, which I have had for years on the driving lights of my Range Rover without problems. When you say your bulbs don't fit, do you mean the lamp connector is too big to go through the headlight bucket? I had to drill all of mine out to increase the size, even with the H4 kit I first used.

I bought the LMC harness with the ugly yellow covering off the parts board years ago. Removed the cover, it is plug and play, no wires mismatched or any problems whatsoever.

It could be a bad batch. The complaints started about 2 years ago, which is when I bought mine. Each time I saw a post on the harness someone was having an issue with the wrong lights coming on at the wrong time. Hopefully they've corrected it.

I've also read of problems with the relays in their harness. I personally haven't had a problem with them...but I have a couple spares just in case.
