Tach Wires
I just picked up a 69 C/10 that has a 350 w/auto and a tach cluster in it.The tach is not working so I started back tracking the wires and found that the red wire is not hooked up.One wire goes to the coil but I dont know where the red one goes.Any help would be great.
Thanks Bobby |

Re: Tach Wires
It plugs into your fuse panel. Plug it into the "cluster feed terminal on the fuse panel and you should be good.
If you need any further help or parts, let me know. Take care, Tom

Re: Tach Wires
Brown wire goes to negative terminal on your coil, pink wire goes to 12v keyed power source. Make sure tach is grounded or it will fry. Tach is grounded through the cluster, but it never hurts to add a dedicated ground wire to the tach.

Re: Tach Wires
Do you have a 12V test light? If so, touch it on the terminal I circled and the test light should light. If you pull the fuse just to the right of my circle, the test light should go out. That is how you know that that terminal will be a fused terminal. If you want, you can wire in an in line fuse holder as well. You will have to have the key in the run position to do this.
