Question about Accuair SwitchSpeed air management system
Hi all, I am looking to bag my '65 Panel and am looking at air management systems. This is my first air bag project and I am not 100% on if I am going to like air or not, since I have never driven in a vehicle with bags. For air management, I really want an auto level system like the Accuair eLevel but don't really want to spend the $$$$ for it, at this point. I was thinking of getting their SwitchSpeed system to start and then if I want eLevel, I can upgrade it later without having to buy the core air system parts.
The question I am having is, it doesn't seem like the SwitchSpeed has any presets, only lift speed and manual control. Am I correct in this understanding? How do you figure out where to set ride height if there are no gauges to at least reference and no presets to get to that height? I was looking at the Air Ride AutoPilot V2, which is pressure based but there is not option to add ride height sensors. It seem Accuair and Ride Tech are the only ones but at the top of the price scale.

With the Switch Speed, you would want gauges, so you would know where ride height would be. If the weight changes, you would just adjust pressure accordingly to get to the desired ride height.
The Autopilot system is cheaper and still a great system. It has 8 preset options, so it does allow you to cover a lot of different weight scenarios. One can be if it is just you, one for a passenger, another for some weight in the back. Not as accurate as the e-level with the height sensors, but still works well, with a lower price tag. We offer all these variations in our Pro2 air management. Even our standard kit can be upgraded to e-level, since we still use the VU4 valve. Yeah look in to both good and see which one fits your needs and budget.And don't rule out ridetech they do make nice stuff also.

I sold my pressure based ride tech E2 system for next to nothing. I will never use a pressure based system again. Ride height sensor on each corner is the only way for real accuracy.
