anybody used a 60-66 front crossmember on a AD

Has anybody used a 60-66 cross member on an AD before?

I am not sure how much the track width varies between the two.

Just thinking out loud. I have a parts truck available.

That is a great article, I am surprised it has not been shared (that I know of) before. Don't tell the 60-67 guys....

This looks a lot like what the previous owner did to my '51 - from an '84 C10.

Seems with the disc brakes and the wider overall width, I can run 16" wheels with a 4 3/4" back spacing, With setting the ball joints IN an 1 1/2" both sides. I didn't want the dune buggy look. A while back there was a post explaining and showing how he to narrowed the A arms.

Still getting my nerve up :)

If your going to attempt it, the one in the link you posted is the way to go. Looks like he took the successful parts of earlier attempt of others and combined them to make it a viable swap. I see some of my attempt in there and some earlier works of others when all together is works very nicely and he fixes some of the ill's of the others.

look here for some tips on what I tried, bear in mind mine was 10 years ago and done on a task force frame.
