Do the coil springs need to be turned to a certain position?

Is there a spot the end bottom, of the coil needs to be turned to? I installed my 1" drop fronts with new shocks and it is slightly taller now? Maybe the old springs and shocks were just that worn out?

Yes, there is a little ledge deal in the lower control arm that you butt the end of the coil up to. But, very likely your old springs were that sagged. Lots of guys have installed even 2 inch drop springs and netted zero effective drop in the end due to their tired old coil springs they had originally.
